It’s easy to feel stress when I think, “I have to do this or I have to do that,” but when I change my narrative to, “I get to do this or I get to do that,” it allows me to move from victimhood and stress to a place of empowerment and gratitude. It’s hard to make out the silver-glittered words in this painting, just like it’s hard to be mindful of our thoughts that constantly create our reality. Thus the shapes in this painting are alot like our monkey-mind. This was my reminder to self to own my choices in how I thought about my opportunities and obligations.
