i see you "ICU" sticker

$5.00

Small Batch. Limited Edition.

As critical care nurse recruiter, I’ve heard countless patient stories from ICUs across the country.

I painted this watercolor to be about the healing waters of the ICU where nurses carefully work & watch over their patients and their families. Critical care nurses don’t just attend to the complex high-acuity physical and medical needs of their patients. They are often also confronted with the emotional, spiritual and mental well-being of patients’ and their families as well. They witness everything from severe tragedy, to sickness and death to miraculous recovery and human resilience on levels most of us never imagine. They see A LOT. It’s been a sacred honor of my recruiting career to learn what these nurses endure in work that is both challenging and rewarding, and always meaningful.

Watercolor painted in Summer/Fall of 2020.
